Job Posting: Apprentice Tradesperson
Ecospheric’s mission is to create valuable case studies to progress the field of sustainable construction. Our ambitious developments lead the building industry in incorporating the latest low energy technologies and methodologies. The company’s diverse offerings include low carbon property development, passive house design and consultancy, and supply and specification of high performance windows.
We are looking for an apprentice (multi-skilled or joinery focus) with an interest in environmentally sustainable and energy efficient building techniques. The apprentice will report to the Site Manager and work alongside highly experienced multi-disciplined tradespeople. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work on projects at the forefront of sustainable construction methods (passive house, zero carbon, NZEB).
Current projects include:

Retrofit of a Royal Mail sorting office into a low energy food hall

The low energy retrofit of a Grade II* listed heritage building (image below)

5 new-build passive house residential homes
POSITION DETAILS
Title: Apprentice with multi-skilled or joinery focus
Contract type: Fixed contract (1 or 2 years)
Salary: From £4.15-£9.00 per hour dependant on experience and qualification
Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Greater Manchester/Cheshire (Levenshulme, Lymm)
ROLE
We are looking for two multi skilled or joinery apprentices. The role will be very involved, varied and hands on from the start. The post holder will:

Support Joinery and other trades on a variety of work sites

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Driving licence (desired)

Maths, English and Science GCSE grade C (desired)

Functional Application, Apprentice Level 1 or above
