Rainwater Harvesting

We carry out calculations and specifications to ensure the correct sizing of rainwater harvesting tanks and an optimised pipe layout for an efficient system.

There are different rainwater harvesting systems depending on the individual site and client needs. Systems can be categorised as follows:

• Unpressurised systems for external use only - a manual pump allows occupants to access water for filling watering cans

• Pressurised systems for external use only - a pressurised system allows a garden hose to be connected to the tank

• Pressurised system for greywater use - allows for harvested water to be used internally for flushing toilets as well as supply to outdoor taps

• Potable rainwater harvesting and treatment - off grid water calculations associated with rainwater collection and storage. Includes outline specification and schematic for equipment necessary to create potable water, although does not cover detailed design
